When procuring commercial Cassia (Cinnamomum cassia) for food manufacturing, industrial grinding, or retail packaging, selecting the correct physical grade is one of the most critical decisions in your supply chain.

While all three forms come from the same aromatic bark, the processing method determines the physical shape, volatile oil retention, packaging density, and—most importantly—the landed shipping cost per kilogram.

  • Physical Form: Whole bark harvested from branches or young trunks that naturally rolls into tight, hollow cylinders as it dries. Typically cut to standardized lengths (e.g., 8 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm, or 30 cm).

  • Physical Form: Whole or split cassia bark that has been steam-conditioned and flattened under heavy-duty hydraulic presses into solid, compact, high-density bales.

  • Processing: Dried bark is conditioned with light humidity to make fibers pliable, compressed into dense blocks under tons of pressure, and strapped tightly into 10 kg, 20 kg, or 25 kg bales.
